Artist’s Bio
I grew up in Ohio, and after the Army, I attended and graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a BFA in Photography. I then traveled to Denver, where I worked as a freelance photographer. After five years in Denver, I was recruited by Polaroid Corporation and was moved to Dallas. After 16 years in Dallas, Polaroid moved me to the corporate office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I worked for them in their professional products division, traveling much of the world for a truly fun and unforgettable company. After Polaroid’s demise in 2001, I joined Hallmark Institute of Photography as their Director of Marketing. Today I am concentrating on my documentary work, with the Appalachian Project yet to complete. I am self-publishing a book on this body of work that should be out later this year.
